Amanda is a CPA and a lawyer, graduating with honors from both Bentley University (Accounting) and Harvard Law School. After a multi-faceted career, she started Phillips Law & Accounting to deliver an incredible client experience that capitalizes on both her legal and her accounting expertise.

Before founding Phillips Law & Accounting, Amanda practiced law at top Boston law firms, advising large enterprises on a variety of commercial, employment, tax, litigation, and other legal issues.

Before practicing law, Amanda was an accountant for large publicly traded and privately held companies, preparing financial statements, working with auditors, and designing financial systems and internal controls.

Before her accounting work, Amanda was a Special Agent in the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, investigating felony level crimes and contractor fraud. Before that, Amanda repaired electronics on the EF-111 aircraft in the U.S. Air Force. She also worked in counter-terrorism and protected President Clinton.

Amanda has led an IRS-sponsored pro bono tax program for nearly 20 years, coordinating and leading a team that provides tax preparation for the elderly and low-income.
